"Pumpkins scream in the dead of night"
-This is Halloween
I had the idea of this image planned in my head before I even put down the first stroke. A Halloween / Nightmare Before Christmas style image with a pumpkin as the main figure.
Drawn with dollar store markers and sharpie ultra fine tip black & green on 9" x 12" tracing paper over a pencil sketch. An estimated 3 billion pen strokes were laid on this piece.The colors were enhanced digitally to match the look of the original image.
I lost many of my original drawings and paintings in my last breakup and felt it was time to replace what was lost with something new. It has the spirit and style of my old stuff mixed with a darkness that has been brewing inside me for awhile.
